How best to modify a media post

Hello, I’ve been using Graphene for a couple of months now and I’m very happy with the results so far, http://www.scotland-landscapes.com, thank you for providing the theme.

I’ve got a child theme in use with some edits to a couple of files.

The website is a photo site where we try to give a description and embed a map of the photo location on the photo page. See an example from our old site at: http://www.scotland-landscapes.com/PhotoPages/NorthSuth_BenHope_Castle_Bh.htm

I want our new photo pages/posts to have certain items on by default such as a purchase this image link, a description and an embedded map from a third party site.

When images are uploaded to the WP Media Library they automatically get their own post, but this post doesn’t appear in the posts list in WP admin. Why is that please? How can the default media post be edited, I can’t work out what template file its using and I’d like these photo pages to be a single column.

I stumbled across the ability to place html in the media description field which could provide a route to do most of what I want but this seems a bit of an odd way of achieving it, see: http://www.scotland-landscapes.com/photo-galleries/northern-sutherland/ben_hope_from_castle_bharraich/

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Jason
