Horizontal Widgets in Graphene Top Menu

    Hello,

    First off, Graphene is awesome!

    I’ve been searching Graphene forums and other sites, using Firebug to inspect and tinkering for hours with no solution…

    I’m trying to make the widgets line up horizontally, in the Graphene top menu.

    I almost able to do this by putting the following into the child theme:

    #translate-this .translate-this-button {
    margin: -25px 160px 0px;
    width: 10px;
    }

    .addthis_button {
    margin: 15px 0px 0px;
    }

    It looked pretty good, but when I added a search box, I couldn’t find the CSS to manipulate it. I’m also worried that this could make things not look right on mobile devices, etc. I want to add more widgets to the area, but I’ll end up having to search for hours to find how they are labeled too.

    I found a post at this location that said to use…

    #3rd ul li {
    display: inline;
    }

    …but I can’t figure out what to change, “#3rd ul li” to, to make it work on my site, located

    here.

    Is there a simple bit of CSS that I can put into the child theme that will automatically line widgets up horizontally as I add them?

    Try adding this to custom CSS:

    #graphene-dynamic-widget-graphene_top_menu div {
    float:left;
    }

    Have you installed Firebug? It makes it really easy to identify these elements.

    Hi Kenneth,

    Your suggestion worked!

    Before I posted here, I was able to use firebug to find the element. It was only showing up in the HTML section, not in the CSS. I barely know anything about code, so since I couldn’t find an entry in the CSS file that helped lead me, I just kept trying random strings. I got close, but never tried using, “div”

    Thank you! This info will help me later on too.

    Put code in between backtick (

    Code:
    `

    ) characters. It’s usually located above the Tab key on your keyboard.

    Hi Prasanna,

    I see. Your suggestion makes the post more readable. I’ll do that from now on.

    Thanks for the tip and thanks for the work you guys do on Graphene!
