Please advice how to Hide the empty parent page on the ver. 1.5.5.?

Are you using a child theme? The example from the thread you referenced is duplicating the loop.php file and adding it to their child theme, making the modification there.

    Hi Josh,

    Yes, I have child theme.

I duplicate the file and made changes, but without result.

Try Graphene Options >> General >> Child Page Options

Yes, this was the first thing I did, but unfortunately it does not work, only then tried duplicating loop.php and made changes in it, but this solution also does not work for me.

In addition, after each post appears blank strip, and I do not know how to remove?

Please help to solve these problems in the most elegant wordpress theme?

The blank strip is most likely your Google Adsense space. You have activated it, but not entered any code. Deactivate it, and the blank strip should go away.

Are you talking about the parent page in the menu? You would want to use a custom menu and then try this:

You are right for the strip. Thank you!

Concerning this “dummy link with the name of the parent page you don’t want clickable”, I am a complete novice and please expalin more detailed where I must include this ….

    Thank you in advance!

You would want to use a custom menu (Appearance >> Menus)

This post will tell you how: http://blog.kjodle.net/2011/08/25/how-to-create-and-use-custom-menus-in-wordpress/

OK, I have custom menu and must add to this menu custom URL, like http://#. with Custom Link Label with the name of the parent page?

    Kenneth John Odle

No, not http://# — This will cause errors if someone clicks on it.

Just use # — this will just take a user to the top of the page if they click on it. And since they are already at the top of the page, they won’t really go anywhere.

You can actually delete the dummy link after you have added the custom link. That will cause the menu item to be not clickable at all.

I created a custom menu aading Pages I see from the left on Appearance/Menu. For the empty parent pages I use Custom Links put only # and Label is the Name of the Empty Parent Page. After that I “add to Menu” this custom link. I make something wrong because no result.
