I am having the same problem with “save options” not working. I don’t follow from the old thread what the solution was, can someone help?

The solution there I bellieve was with the hosting company you are using or server your using to host your website onlines memory is too low . Chat with the hosting company you use and see if they can increase your server memory because you need more for using a theme . ( I am assuming not 100 % sure)

Increasing your site’s PHP memory limit involves having access to your site’s php.ini file. Not all hosts give you access to that file (if you don’t know what you are doing, you can get into a lot of trouble with it), so you would want to contact them about raising your PHP memory limit.

However, the best way is to first disable plugins to rule out a plugin conflict. There is a post on my blog about common WordPress debugging steps.

Thanks. There are no plugins active, so it cant be that. I have asked the host to check what the memory allocation is. What SHOULD it be for everything to work properly?

The host has advised that the php memory limit is currently set at 100M. They say this should be sufficient. what would you recommend?

100MB is quite a bit. 32MB is the standard. Have you tried other debugging options?
