Header resize

    I asked this on what I now see is a resolved post so I do not think it went through.

    The answer to that post was to add to the child theme on the function.php and css.php some suggested code.

    I did that and adjusted to my graphic height to 111, even though when I clicked save, the following notice came up…

    When I uploaded my new 960×111 graphic, it looked ok in the upload but the crop was half the width and when I saved and looked at my site, the header graphic was cut off with half the height and half the width even though the original size was 960×111 and my page is 960. Just to make it work, I put my logo on the upper left hand corner of the 960×111 and it looks ok, but something is not correct. How do I get the entire 960×111 to fit completely into my new header size?

    Did you follow php syntax?

    Changing header height option will be available in version 1.7. You may wait for it.

    I got this from your forum post

    You’ll be able to change the header height in Graphene version 1.7. Wait for it, or if you want to change it immediately, add this to your child theme’s functions.php file.

    function grap960;
    }
    function graphene_custom_header_height(){
    return 111;
    }
    add_filter('graphene_header_image_width', 'graphene_custom_header_width');
    add_filter('graphene_header_image_height', 'graphene_custom_header_height');

    And, this to your child theme style sheet or in Graphene custom CSS

    #header {
    height: 111px;
    }

    It seems you haven’t placed your code between opening (<?php) and closing (?>) php tags. And the first line of your code is missing come letters,

    Try this,

    <?php
    function graphene_custom_header_height(){
    return 111;
    }

    add_filter('graphene_header_image_height', 'graphene_custom_header_height');
    ?>

    And, custom CSS

    #header {
    height: 111px;
    }

    Code between backticks please..

    I tried adding what is in the black boxes above, it didn’t work and now I’m getting this message:

    I deleted what I had put in and saved but still get the message. How do I get rid of it?

    Also, by backticks, do you mean the following single quotes (‘graphene_header_image_height’, ‘graphene_custom_header_height’)

    Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: Cannot send session cache limiter – headers already sent (output started at /home/rfendelman/webapps/6_graphere_artvnet/wp-content/themes/graphene-child/functions.php:8) in /home/rfendelman/webapps/6_graphere_artvnet/wp-content/plugins/si-contact-form/si-contact-form.php on line 2189

    I got rid of the warning by gong to the DB Extension Settings and just selecting ‘save’. It wiped out the warning and everything is back to normal…..for now until I start trying to do ‘the next thing’

    This is a backtick:

    As far as the “headers already sent” error message, see this post:

    https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/cannot-modify-header-information

    Maybe you missed this when I answered it already?

    At any rate, this is a fairly common error and one that is easy to fix.
