First, in my child theme I changed the header height from 198px to 100px. When I upload my new header background image, which is 960 x 100 pixels….it forces me to crop it, cutting out some of my header image that I created. Is there a way around this?? Would the answer be to use CSS in my child theme and for the header class, use “background-image”…and point to my image on my host server?
Second, when you upload new header images in the “Header” tab of the graphene appearance tab….it displays the new custom header along with the other 7 template headers…..I’ve since uploaded 5 or 6 of my own custom headers….is there a way to remove them from this page as well??
For your second question, you should be able to remove them if you have ftp access or through your hosting providers control panel. You can delete the file from your wp-content/uploads folder. This should prevent them from showing in the admin menu.
For your first question, I think you are on the right track. I adjusted my image but can’t remember exactly how I did it. If you get stuck, let me know and I’ll look into in more closely.
