Header and top menu full width of screen

First of all, I would like to apologize if my english is not good, I’m franch !

After that I want tio say that I love very much graphene that I used for many blogs during french elections

And I would like to ask an “how to do” or make a suggestion if it is not actually possible.

(I have read the discussion about responsive theme and understand your answer)

But my question is not for a responsive theme but only to make possible to have the header and top menu design (colors) in full width on the screen, even if the useful container remains 960px.

To understand my request have a look to arrastheme and for example to this very nice website

    http://pariscilaculture.fr

header and menu are centered in a 960px container but the background color of these two objects remains the same in the whole width of the screen and scroll out with the page. Additionnally, there is no vertical border at 960px

I can’t obtain that with the backgroung image because the image doesn’t scroll when the blog scrolls.

Is this possible by now using somewhere in css something like “width=100%” or doesit require so much developpements that it is not possible to do it

Thanks for reading and congratulations for Graphene-theme

    Sincerely

    jean-Paul

I found a large part of the answer here: https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/header-question

but if you have other idea, do not hesitate to give me another “trickery” 🙂
