Okay Syahir, I’m ready to contribute to the Wiki.

Can I just go in and click the “edit” button on one of the pages and begin adding content? Am I able to see changes immediately, or does it have to be moderated first?

It is best to register first, otherwise you’ll be asked to solve a ReCaptcha everytime you want to save page.

And yes, changes are reflected immediately. You can also use the Preview feature prior to saving to see how the changes will look like.

There are also links on the navigation to the left under the “Editors” heading, which are “Pages needing attention” and “Editing help”. These two will probably the most helpful in helping you contribute to the wiki.

Thanks a lot Josh! My goal is to complete one wiki page a day. That should get most of the pages done before Graphene 1.6 is published on the WP.org themes repository. Let me know if you need any help.

How about images (screenshots)? Should I host them on my server and link to them through the wiki? Then I can send you the images, and you can adjust the links to your server?

Should I avoid using images altogether?

No, images in the wiki should always be hosted in the wiki (whenever possible), since this way we can avoid the possibility of having orphaned images. You should be able to upload images on the wiki. Let me know if you can’t.

    Okay Syahir…

I have a treat for you. I started having fun… got carried away… and went ahead and edited all the pages “needing attention” in the wiki.

Do me a favor and double-check them for accuracy.

    Thanks for a great theme!!

Wow Josh, that is a treat indeed… I’ll go through them and help format them up a bit.

    Thanks a lot!

Josh, example how each article in the wiki should be formatted:

    http://wiki.khairul-syahir.com/graphene-theme/wiki/Social_Sharing_Buttons

You can click on Edit on that page to see the wiki syntax being used. We should aim for consistent formatting and layout to provide the best user experience to visitors.
