Okay Syahir, I’m ready to contribute to the Wiki.
Can I just go in and click the “edit” button on one of the pages and begin adding content? Am I able to see changes immediately, or does it have to be moderated first?January 23, 2012 at 8:39 pm #22765
It is best to register first, otherwise you’ll be asked to solve a ReCaptcha everytime you want to save page.
And yes, changes are reflected immediately. You can also use the Preview feature prior to saving to see how the changes will look like.
There are also links on the navigation to the left under the “Editors” heading, which are “Pages needing attention” and “Editing help”. These two will probably the most helpful in helping you contribute to the wiki.
Thanks a lot Josh! My goal is to complete one wiki page a day. That should get most of the pages done before Graphene 1.6 is published on the WP.org themes repository. Let me know if you need any help.January 23, 2012 at 9:48 pm #22766
Excellent. Thanks for the details.January 23, 2012 at 11:16 pm #22767
How about images (screenshots)? Should I host them on my server and link to them through the wiki? Then I can send you the images, and you can adjust the links to your server?
Should I avoid using images altogether?January 24, 2012 at 1:15 am #22768
No, images in the wiki should always be hosted in the wiki (whenever possible), since this way we can avoid the possibility of having orphaned images. You should be able to upload images on the wiki. Let me know if you can’t.January 24, 2012 at 2:25 am #22769
Got it. I didn’t see it the first time through.January 24, 2012 at 2:33 am #22770wenbayMember

I have a treat for you. I started having fun… got carried away… and went ahead and edited all the pages “needing attention” in the wiki.
Do me a favor and double-check them for accuracy.
Thanks for a great theme!!January 27, 2012 at 8:05 am #22772
Wow Josh, that is a treat indeed… I’ll go through them and help format them up a bit.
Thanks a lot!January 27, 2012 at 8:56 am #22773
Josh, example how each article in the wiki should be formatted:
You can click on Edit on that page to see the wiki syntax being used. We should aim for consistent formatting and layout to provide the best user experience to visitors.January 27, 2012 at 9:05 am #22774
I absolutely agree. Checking it out now…January 27, 2012 at 9:12 am #22775Prasanna SPMember
I’ve created an account on wiki for the same purpose. But, not getting enough time to edit pages. Will join you folks ASAP..
Edit; Yeah! I’m a Wikipedia editor! 🙂January 27, 2012 at 9:13 am #22776
Okay… that helps a lot actually!
(4am here) but I’ll tidy them up tomorrow.January 27, 2012 at 9:16 am #22777
Yeah, there were a couple times when I was going to “call” you 🙂 Especially the “homepage panes” one. I know you’ve got more experience than me with that one!January 29, 2012 at 7:50 am #22778
Aiight, my friend.
I went through and did a “second edit” to all the pages in the needing attention section.
I’m ready for round 2 of your inspection.
