Good start

I like what there is so far, and recognize it’s early days. Two specific requests:

    1. Allow a full-width header image. I use one for branding. FJ forces my image to maybe 30% of the screen, which doesn’t give the same effect.

    2. Have an option for descriptive menus such as in Graphene. It’s hard to find a theme that does this well.

My ideal would be the following:

    a. header bar with site tagline and social icons

    b. full width header image

    c. descriptive menu

on scroll, this would all collapse to a sticky menu with a logo on the left and non-descriptive menu on the right. The Enlightenment theme does something like this, and the Awesome Sticky Header plugin accomplishes some of the effect. It would be nice to have it all in one theme, though.

    Dear Evil Overlord,

Thanks for the excellent feature suggestions. We do have existing plans to implement some of them, and you might see them in the next major version update.

being able to put the social buttons from the footer up top, to the right of the menu items, would definitely be a huge improvement. Right now I have to stick them in the menu and they look out of place in mobile. I want to +1 that haha

Descriptive menu, top bar with social icons and custom menu, and menu icons are now available in Franz Josef 1.5. See all the changes here: https://forum.graphene-theme.com/franz-josef/changelog/

    Underling Syahir,

Great to hear! I’m looking forward to checking it out.

The menu looks great! I’ve had some trouble with a large space above the header, but am trying to track that down. The menu combination, however, is the best I’ve seen.

I had actually the same concern since I started my business., with some help of the resources that I found online, like this http://eatmywords.com/services/, it gives me confident that it could work as I expected, which it did.
