    hello everyone

I was reading some support posts and I found this site http://www.findagreathappyhour.com/ which was created using fantastic graphene.

at the bottom of the front page there are 4 “Read More” links.

I am wondering how that was done…. read more button, no color in the background of the image, text…. etc…

In my site I also have 4 “Read More” links but I think I did it the easy/wrong way. I inserted images with the text and linked the whole image to the page they should go to.

I think there is a more professional way to do it.

    can you help me, please?

    thank you so much.

Those 4 post excerpt boxes with Read More link are homepage panes. See this post to know how to enable homepage panes – http://www.prasannasp.net/how-to-enable-homepage-panes-in-graphene-theme/

prasanna, I read your post at that link.

you are giving a beautiful step-by-step instruction to make a whole page with those excerpts boxes/panes.

what should I do to have them only on the front page… the four on the bottom?

also… since you are going to give a look at my website… please, in the menu, go to QUEM SOMOS.

can you tell why the pictures under POLITICA DA QUALIDADE and NOSSOS VALORES are not centered?

the configuration of the pictures is just fine… in the edit page it shows centered… however in the “see page” mode… they are on the left.

I know today it is a saturday.

so, please, you can answer me on workdays.

I don’t want to spoil your weekend.

By definition, homepage panes only appear on your front page—your “homepage”.

You have enclosed them in a blockquote, which aligns everything to the left. Try editing your page, then clicking on each image to edit it and make sure to center the image in the image-editing pane. It should work, but there’s no guarantee with the blockquote.

hello kenneth… thank you for stepping in.

issue # 1… hehe… okay, you are right… panes are for front pages only. however the instruction in prasanna’s link are about having a whole front page with panes… and that’s not what I am looking for.

issue # 2… I removed the blockquote and the picture and checked the image editing… it is centered… it shows centered in the edit page pane. but again, in the see page pane it is not working… now it is showing to the right.

Issue #2.. I got it resolved… I redimensioned the background of the picture to 680px… so there is no extra space other than to be centered.

    thank you!
