Footer Help

    I’m working on a blog at http://www.weallmustgive.org.

The problem I’m facing is whenever I seem to add the custom text widget, it causes the footer to move slightly to the right, throughing off the beautiful alignment that I once I had. I’ve tried resizing the images and text, with no prevail.

Is there a way to fix this without just taking the custom text widget down? Thanks in advance!

    Sincerely,

    Hi Chris,

It works just fine on my development server. Can you put on the text widget and leave it there for a while so I cam take a look?

Weird that works ok on your development server? Could the type of web browser influence it?

I took a screenshot of what it looks like on my computer. The text widget is already up, it’s named Charity of the Month.

Maybe this will help try to explain what the problem I’m having:

If you scroll down to the footer, where it say “blogroll” it’s slightly off to the right. That’s what it looks like on my computer.

Thank you very much for looking into this. I really appreciate it – I love your theme!

Forgot to add, I’m using IE8.

This is actually a browser issue. It looks fine in Firefox.

To be honest, I haven’t tested the theme much on other browsers for the newer developments. It just takes so much time and effort to make the theme cross-browser compatible.

Anyways, I’ll take a look at fixing it, probably this weekend.

    Hi again,

After taking another look, I don’t think so this is a browser problem, as I tried to recreate the same issue and view it using IE8, but everything seems to work fine.

My guess is that you’re missing a closing </div> in the text widget that causes everything from that widget to the end of the page (not including the main content area) to be centered horizontally.
