First Plugin

Sooo, I wrote my first plugin. (Yeah, it’s pretty basic, don’t laugh). Syahir, Ken, Ricardo… feel free to move this to another forum, I just wanted to post here first as I know it gets the most attention.

Anyways, my basic “run-of-the-mill” plugin can be found here:

I know most of you (mods) probably don’t use the visual editor when creating posts, however I was hoping you wouldn’t mind giving this a try. If it works for you, I would be your best friend forever if you would rate it for me on wordpress (and click the “works”, if it does indeed work). After that, you can wipe it from your blog 🙂

    Thanks!

    Josh,

Looks interesting, I’ll give it a try. Could you add ‘add table’ on there. I think it would be useful. I like to put tables on pages/posts and have to do the html right now. With your mod, it would be easier.

Thank ya. I added the support for tables (smilies and emotions will be next).

If you happen to get a chance to mess around with it, I’d love to hear your feedback.

    Josh,

I’ve downloaded and installed your plugin. Did you add the ‘add table’ to the plugin for the 11-7-11 ver? If so, I can’t find it. Also, the Style aligncenter does not center the test.

I’m using Firefox 7.0.1 for the test. I also checked the new ver of chrome, and IE9. The test is not centered for those 2 browsers.

I’d like to learn to make a plugin one day, but guess it is hard to program and manage.

Thanks, my friend (will work on that next). I added the table feature, but I’ve been trying to figure out how to add the updates to the repository. I think I’ve got it figured out now. Version 1.1 is the one with the table feature… and 1.2 will be coming out shortly which will include emoticons.

I’m going to point you to my contact form HERE… so that we don’t jack Syahir’s forum.

I guess my next step is going to be figuring out how to setup a form such as this on my site.
