First few lines of blog post instead of entire post

Is it possible to only show first few lines of blog post instead of entire post? Then a visitor could click a read more button to show entire post. This would be on latest posts not archives.

Graphene Settings >> Display Settings >> Excerpts Display Options

Tick the box marked “Show excerpts in front page”

oh You can make excerpts with the <more> tag (everything before is excerpt) or by putting text in the excerpt box on the post editing page. The latter is NOT shown in the post itself, only when a excerpt is being called.
