Hi All, When I go to this page http://www.algarvebikeholidays.com/tours/

There is text showing from the page here and I do not want it?

Any idea how to reduce the number of words it picks up from the page it’s linking to?

    Thanks.

Try using the “More” tag to specify where the excerpt should end. I’m not on my own computer right now, so I’m not sure if this works on pages or not.

Just type <!--more--> where you would like your excerpt to end.

As an alternative, you can always use a custom excerpt.

Thanks Kenneth, I have put this on this page but it is still not showing all the text? i want it to show to the end of the table basically, as it is it cuts off the price? it appears it might be a word count issue? not sure? very stuck. Thanks for the help 🙂

Ah, those are actual pages, rather than posts, in which case the <!--more--> tag won’t work.

I thought there was a function to get that tag to work in pages, but I haven’t been able to find it. The only thing I’ve found so far involves theme hacks. I’ll keep looking….

Thanks Kenneth, any help would be great, really stuck on this one, or is there an easy way to alter how many words/letters are shown on each individual one? I remember someone mentioning this previously and when I’ve searched but cant find out how to do this?

    Cheers 🙂
