Hello, I am trying to get the Featured Image to be used as the Header Image. I am using Nextgen gallery, and in other themes, this works. Is the some code like in this post:http://wordpress.org/support/topic/theme-twenty-eleven-make-featured-image-header-a-background?replies=2

That I can put in header.php to make this feature work? Thanks.

According to this Codex forum post, the featured image has to be the same width as the header image, which in the case of Graphene, is 960px. How wide is your featured image?

Also, in Graphene Options >> Display >> Header Display Options, make sure you have the “Disable Featured Image replacing header image” option unticked.

Thanks for the update. As I understood it, “Any featured image that has a size of greater than or equal to the theme’s header image size (960 x 198 pixels) will replace the header image when the post/page that featured image is assigned to is being displayed. It enables you to have different header image for different posts and/or pages.”

I select full size, but now looking at the images, they are smaller than 960px. I see that they range from 350 to 600 px wide. Is there a workaround, or do I need to edit them in order for them to be used as the program expects….

No workaround that I’m aware of…the image has to be big enough to replace the header image.

I just resized them to 980px, I will try again to see if that worked…Thanks.

Even though I increased the size to 980x, it does not see to be working. Is there something I am missing? Perhaps I messes something up in header.php when I was trying to get it to work?

Could you send me the section of header.php where this property is defined? Otherwise, I quess I can download it, and C&P the section myself. Thanks.
