This was the solution I was looking for to be able to add the slider function to my theme at http://www.parkrowhairdressing.com

I installed plugin and nothing appeared in my slider either – just the box. I added this coding to my functions.php file and got a Parse Error – had to ftp upload a “fresh” functions.php file to be able to move on.

I know this is an old thread so wondered if there is different coding to rectify the problem in the latest upgrade?

Got it working now after I DID’NT add an extra } at the end of the code. Duh!

Hi, I followed this thread and set up categories for my pages and got the pages up on my slider but the images in my page is not showing up on the slider. Any ideas on why this might be or how I can fix it?

I figured out that using images from my media gallery won’t work for the slider…have to start over by uploading images into the page itself.

An alternative to re-uploading the images into the page would be to set the image from the media gallery as the Featured Image for that page.
