Facebook Loke Box Plugin not centered

    I added the facebook like box plugin to my side bar widget. It displays okay but will not center in the side bar, it is off to the right. Currently I am working offline using WAMPSERVER. I do not want to go live with off center plugings. Any suggestions please?

    It’s difficult to say without seeing the site and using firebug.

    You need to determine which css element is being called, and make the adjustments there.

    Again, hard to give specific instructions without seeing the problem.

    Moved to Support for better/faster response. (Not really a bug.)

    Are you using a specific plugin from WordPress, or adding code you got from Facebook to a text widget? If you’re just plugging in code from Facebook (the easiest and best way to go), you can do it like this:

    <div style="text-align:center;">
    <em>Facebook code</em>
    </div>

    The same idea can be used to center just about anything in a sidebar widget, including Adsense code.

    Thanks. Yes I am plugging in code from Facebook into a text box. I tried adding the code you gave me and nothing changed. I downloaded a plugin that that does the same thing and it too would not center. If I change the layout and move the sidebar to the right, the Facebook Like Box will offset to the left. Because I wasn’t sure if it was just because I was working on a local server I created enough online so you can see what I am talking about. That is at http://rjsblog.com.

    Your Facebook widget is too wide. If you go back to FB, there is an option to select a narrower width–start with 200px and see how it goes.

    Thank you for your reply Ken. Well I tried that without much luck. I can make it fit within the column but not fill the column. I am putting together a wbsite for a newly formed non profit and a lot of people have recommended Graphene. I found the Facebook plugin I am trying to use through a different area of this site. A page on showcasing work. Perhaps I should go back and post in that thread again. http://www.wmrt.org.uk/ is a great site, maybe the creator can add some input.

    From what I see the code you grabbed from Facebook is still for 255px. Are you sure you’ve entered a smaller width in Facebook when you get the code?

    Thanks Syahir. Smaller numbers will make it fit in the box but also distort the images. I have seen other sites where it fits the enire box at 255 and no distortions. One of those sights gave me some code to try. Still plugging away.
