Excluding post from front page

    Hi Syahir,

This is the last question I have for you. First of all, I really love the Neo theme. I’m so happy to have it up and running and it works great.

There is one thing that I’ve found wrong, and it’s only affected me twice before I figured out what it was. When I go into the dashboard from my mobile device and do an edit on the menus, or add something to one of the mobile theme’s menus, it blanks out the settings for the main theme’s menus. However, I rarely have a need to do that, and pretty much only noticed it because I was getting the mobile theme organized and playing around with it for a couple of days. So that’s no biggie to me, but I figured that you might want to be aware of it.

The second thing is that I want to exclude a category from the posts on the front page that have excerpts, like in the regular theme. I know that Neo is new and also mobile, and therefore will probably not have all the options that the regular theme does, so I’m not complaining at all.

It looks like it might be in the loop-list.php file, but I haven’t dug through it all enough to see where exactly. I’m not modifying the mobile theme too much though, but if it’s something simple like one file, I may do an include() on the child’s function.php file. My mom writes poems sometimes on my site, and I don’t want them showing up on the front page with excerpts.

If it’s too much trouble, then it’s no problem. I can live with it.

Thanks again for your super quick assistance with the theme, and I’m pretty sure that I’m done designing for now and am going to stick to doing some writing 🙂

That’s probably a side effect of the mobile switcher plugin. When you login to admin page using mobile device, the mobile switcher plugin loads the mobile theme, so the desktop theme is effectively not loaded at all. Not sure why the menu settings for the desktop theme is reset though.

I’m moving this topic to the Feature Requests section for your request with excluding categories on the front page.

OK, this feature is now available in version 1.2 of the theme.

There’s at least 3 ways you can exclude one or more single posts from your home or posts page depending on your Reading Settings. Lucky Patcher Apk You can use CSS code You can use PHP code You can use a plugin. CSS Code. The easiest way to remove a specific post from your home page is to use CSS code in your child themes.

Might be true.. i agree with you .. But bypass google billing system and hack in app purchases with Lucky Patcher isn’t easy. As lucky patcher apk is available for download on official site only.

I was also facing the same issue on my website named Black Friday Online Deal. Later after going through this thread finally it’s resolved now. Thank you luckypatcherapk for the reply.
