Excerpts: Only 1 is showing despite set to 6 in settings.

Hi guys,

I’ve updated the theme and now I only have 1 excerpt displaying on the main page. I used to have 6, as set in the settings page, prior to the update.

I’ve modified the CSS and added a flash header, but these were fine prior to the update.

Any idea what the problem is?

I’ve got the old theme on ATM so you won’t see it’s not working. Just ask and I’ll put the new theme(one with problem) back on.

This can be difficult to achieve since we are all fairly busy and there’s no telling when we’ll be back on. Sometimes you’ve just got to live with the ugly for a little while longer.

So…just looking at your site, I’m noticing a lot of plugins. A lot of times, these sorts of problems are due to a plugin conflict, so you might want to go that route.

I’ve modified the CSS

Through a child theme, I hope.

Ah sorry Prasanna, I din’t expect you to be so quick 😀 I’m busy with my thesis so hadn’t been monitoring my emails.

As for the template, don’t worry mate. I’ll just use the old one for now as it’s working fine. I’ll have a crack at it again in a few weeks time.

PS: It’s an amazing template – what tools did you use? Dreamweaver?

Syahir might be using Dreamweaver. IDK!

I use gedit for little code editing. For serious coding, I use Quanta Plus and sometimes Kompozer.

Be Open Source and use Free softwares!

Nice, I’ve never heard of those products.

Kompozer looks good. I myself am 1 month away from completing my degree in Software engineering but have never really got into web development. I’d like to start reading more into it when I’ve finished my studies. Do you make any WordPress plugins?
