Embeds replacing featured image on some posts

    I have another issue, similar to the one where video replace the featured image on posts on my homepage. This one seems to be related to embeds.

    When I include in my post links to some sites, that link replaces the featured image on my post:

    What this means is that on the homepage list of posts, for the affected post what is displayed is a link, and if the user clicks that link they go off site to a link that is described in the post, so it’s not brill.

    Any ideas as to how I can fix that?

    The strange thing is that it does not do this on all posts with links to the same site.
