Display the sub_pages from the category name!
I added new categories to the main menu and then, I inserted some pages as a drop-down list. When I click on the category title, a new empty page opens but without the links to the sub-pages I added!
This means that to access the sub-pages, I have to click on them from the drop-down list, not from the category title!
I also would like to give access to that pages from a click on the category title too.
How to make this linkage?
Thanks in advanceMod
Yes, I added them as sub-pages of the concerned category but when I click on the category title, I have a new page with the category title only! The sub-pages are not there!
Is there a way to remedy to this issue?
How it appears as an empty archive while I added them as sub-page of that category?
Maybe I approached it from a wrong side?
I just created the category and add the pages and drag/paste them as sub-pages. Is there another, better, way to got it?Mod
Adding a post under a category in a menu does not actually add that post to the category. You need to edit those posts and add them to the category in question. Then they will show up on the category archive.
You don’t need to go to each post and edit it separately. If you go to your “Posts” pane, you can do a “Quick Edit” to add each post to add it to categories. Saves a lot of time if you need to edit a lot of separate posts just for tags or categories.
They are already added to the category but appear as drop-down list!
As I mentioned above, when I click on the category title, a new empty page, with only the category title, opens without links to the posts inside within that category.
The page contains only the category title with arrow >>!
It would be much more professional to get posts listed in the category page, not only as a drop-list from the menu bar. But it is not possible with Graphene, seemingly !
Any other idea?ModQuote:But it is not possible with Graphene, seemingly !
The issue is not with Graphene, but with your custom menu. I don’t suppose you have a live site where you can show this happening?Quote:when I click on the category title, a new empty page, with only the category title, opens without links to the posts inside within that category.
If you just want the category title in the menu as a sort of placeholder, without actually linking to the archive, you can use a null link instead of the actually category in your custom menu:
Hi Kenneth and thanks for your answer.Quote:

Yeah, I hope soon. You can’t imagine how it is frustrating for me!
Your blog is a good example indeed. I’d like to have something similar.
In your menu you have drop-down menus: Art, Computers…etc. and each has own links (ART: 2D, 3D, photography..). Whatever I click on ART menu directly or in the drop-down link, I’ll get access to 2D, 3D, photography links or pages! This is what I’m looking to do too! So how to do it?
I’d like to make links available from menu and links in the menu, exactly as you did.
So, what is the option for that?
Actually, I had some troubles in my menu! it is weird!
I think I got it but it still a strange issue:
It seems that only posts, not pages, that will be linked to the archive from the category!
If pages are used as drop-down list, they will not appear when click on the category menu! They are only accessible from the drop-down list!
For posts, on the other hand, they are listed as linked archive, when click on the category menu.
The new question now is, how to get pages listed as links in the page of a given category?
