Disable Comments on Specific Pages

    Hello!

I’m looking for a way and can’t find one, to disable comments only on specific pages. For instance, the ‘About Me’ page isn’t necessary to have comments enabled, but I’d still like them enabled on regular posts.

    Can this be done easily?

At the bottom of the post/page: click on “Discussion” and then untick the box marked “Allow comments.”

Moved to Support. Please post in the correct section next time.

    Hey Kenneth,

Thanks for your help in trying to sort this out for me, and I greatly apologize for posting in the wrong section. I’m sure that both my inability to follow instructions in requesting help and to follow your answer show how much of a newbie I am.

Unfortunately, I don’t see anywhere (I’ve looked both on the published page and within the admin panel while editing) where there is the ability to check any box for ‘Allow Comments’ and I don’t see anything labeled ‘Discussion’.

I only know of the ‘Discussion’ under the main heading of ‘Settings’ and that appears to be a global setting for the site, not specific to each post. Sorry for asking for more assistance on something that probably seems simple to an expert.

You’ll need to make it visible using your screen options.

    See this post:

Marking thread as resolved. You can do this yourself as well.
