Custom Link Menu issue

I have to say of all the theme’s I have toyed around with and used this one is amazing and probably the best so far. The only thing I found that gives me an issue is the menus.

When I add a custom link to the menu it appears in it’s hover state and not in the unhovered state like all of the other page buttons.

This gives me an issue when having to add “Home” page link and need to use an exact URL for it. It appears white on my nice black menu bar all the time hovered or not.

Is there any code snip it I can use to correct this?

    Thanks!

Are you referring to the “Home” menu item?

I played with it some more and found some resolve but something you may want to look into down the road.

If I use a custom link option for the menu:

    http://animalliberationpressoffice.org/NAALPO/

    Has the hover issue.

    It works great.

    Has the hover issue.

    http://google.com

    It works great.

So I’m not sure why it works and doesn’t work with some links. It seems if it ends with a .com, .org it works. I was able to just use the domain as the link for “home” which will point to the /NAALPO/ folder anyway once it’s fully live which fixes my issue. I also know now about it, making it easier to work around.

I only checked this in Firefox 13.0.1

Thanks again for making such an amazing theme!

That’s largely controlled by WordPress, which does the check if the menu item corresponds to the current page being viewed. If it is, WordPress outputs a class to the menu item (current-menu-item). The theme then simply styles the menu items that have this class differently.
