Is there a way to create a custom 404 error with this theme? I would like to put an image and a link to my static page but I cannot find where to do that. Any help is appreciated. The last time I tried to edit anything I ended up having to remove the theme and re-installing it.
Do not edit theme files. Instead, create a child theme and make your changes there. In this case, you could copy over the default 404 page and make your changes to the child theme version.
Thank you so much. I had never heard of a child theme. I had to do some major research and learn about the whole new theme. It is a brilliant idea and I think I succeeded at making a customized 404 page. Thank Goodness for Forums!
