css not working in IE

  • gas

    Hi, I’ve added some css code for the post-nav in the Custom CSS styles box and it works fine in firefox however the background is not showing up on IE. Can someone help me put this right.

    .post-nav {
    background: linear-gradient(rgb(0, 0, 0), rgb(49, 49, 48)) repeat scroll 0% 0% transparent;
    font-size: 18px;
    border-radius: 10px 10px 0px 0px;
    padding: 10px 5px;
    margin-bottom: 0px;

    .post-nav a {
    color: #FFFFFF !important;

    You can see it on my test site here http://www.wp-blog-hosting.co.uk/njkh/

    Which version if IE? IE8 and below don’t support CSS3, and IE9 is spotty.

    I’m running IE9. I’m just going to hide the post-nav for now and use the recent posts widget instead. Will hiding this be a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines? http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=66353

    Youll only be violating the guidelines if you expressly hide something solely for the search engine, like humongous block of keyword text.
