ChildThemes Settings (1.3) ignored and questions regarding general layout

  • Johan

    Hi there,

    i’m new to Graphene and was trying to customize the theme by using a child theme.

    Most things work….but i’m having a problem that the child themes ignores some of my settings…and i don’t know why.

    For now i way trying to adjust the font-size of an article by setting the following lines in the child themes style.css:

    h2, h2 a, h2 a:visited {

    font-family: tahoma,arial;

    font-size: 25px;

    padding-bottom: 4px;

    But it’s still 18px & Arial….he ignores those lines completely….does anyone have an idea why?

    2.nd Problem or quests is, how i can adjust the with of the theme in general….the following screenshot should better show what i mean.

    o.k., solved the first problem…with the size of the post-title…forget a bracket….

    But the second problem is still there…

    No one an idea here?

    Thx…i saw that.

    For now i only hang with the 2.nd problem.

    How can i change the borders….as seen in the screenshot above?

    If you want to increase the width of the theme, there’s several places that needs modifying. Try visiting this topic for a general direction on how to do it:

    Also, notice that the default width of the theme has been increased from 900px at the time the topic above was written, to the current width of 960px.

    Thx for the reply ๐Ÿ™‚

    And…great theme btw. ๐Ÿ™‚
