Child theme broken

    I’m not sure what’s going on. When I go to create a child theme, it looks way different than the parent theme. I have the child theme up on my website right now: http://www.swankyluv.com

    This is the code I have in style.css in the child theme folder:

    /*
    Theme Name: Graphene-child
    Theme URI: http://swankyluv.com/
    Description: Child theme for the Graphene theme
    Author: Kim
    Author URI: http://swankyluv.com/about/
    Template: graphene
    Version: 1.0
    */
    @import url("../graphene/style.css");
    /*
    */

    Weird. Definitely weird.

    1) Is there anything else in your child theme folder beside the style.css file?

    2) Does the child theme folder reside inside the Graphene folder (bad) or next to it inside the “Themes” folder (good)?

    Nope, just style.css and it’s next to it.

    Somehow the PinkTheme style.css file is being loaded instead of the Graphene’s style.css file. Try removing the PinkTheme theme?

    Actually, WordPress tries to load the wp-content/themes/PinkTheme/style.css file, but couldn’t find it. So something somewhere must have caused WordPress to try to load up that file.

    I think that worked! Thank you!
