Changing language in Header

Hey there, I’m using Graphene Theme and I’m an absolut beginner.

My blog is in English and German, so you can change the language of the content and the theme language.

How can I also change the writing (title & description) in the header so it changes to the language I’m in?

I’d be grateful for any help.

You’ll need the WPML String Translation plugin. You should be able to download it from your WPML account.

Thanks a lot. Got it. 🙂

I’m showing ad-images with ALEWB Image-Plugin in the sidebar of my blog. There’re in German as well since I created the images with photoshop like that so the String Translation can’t find it. Any idea of another plugin i could use so I could upload those pictures in English as well?

Not sure if it’ll work with the ALEWB Image plugin, but the WPML Media plugin allows you to upload different versions of your media files for different languages. Download from your WPML account.

Hi Syahir,

was trying with the WPML Media plugin but couldn’t really work out how to do it.

Is there any step by step description on how to have an image appear in 2 language versions in a gallery with that plugin?

Also, if you’re having issues with WPML and WPML-related plugins, it’s better to ask for help from the WPML support forum, as they are in the better position to help you out. Of course, we’re more than willing to work with them to sort out any issues if it’s coming from the theme.
