Change color of Menu item text?

    My selected Menu item text turns white when selected and blends into the white background.

    How do I specify the color of the selected Menu item?

    Try

    #header-menu > li > a:hover {
    color: #aaaaaa;
    }

    You can change the hex code to something else, but that might match your site fairly well.

    This will be a theme option with Graphene 1.8.

    When I add this code to the CSS dropdown in the Graphene Theme Options textarea and change the color to red,

    any text turns to red when I hover, but the selected text still stays white.

    I have tried all kinds of combinations using a:link, a:visited, a:hover, a:active, but nothing solves my problem.

    I need the Menu text to be blue, the hover to be red and the selected to be green.

    Thanks for your help.

    Also, while I’m here, I notice an upside down carrot infront of my second Menu item. I’m not seeing it in the Menu Attributes. How do I get rid of it?

    Graphene Version 1.8 will have options to control everything you mention. It’s in it’s beta testing right now. It’ll probably only be a week or two before it’s released publicly.

    Can you wait for the update? You’ll love it!!

    EDIT: The upside down caret means you have a dropdown on that menu item. To remove the caret, you would need to remove any sub-menu items associated with that main menu item.
