category & tag archive list.

I would use a related posts plugin, and use an action hook to display it directly below your content area. I use this one here, and it plays nicely with my site:
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/yet-another-related-posts-plugin/
Then, just make sure you use tags for your articles which “interact” with each other.
ModUnordered? WordPress will always order these things from newest to oldest. No way around that, I’m afraid.
What you are seeing on these pages are the post excerpts. The default length for a WordPress excerpt is 55 words. You can change that using this technique, but it will change the length of all excerpts everywhere, including the front page.
You might want to look into this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/excerpt-editor/
Good luck,
Ken
Well
I think there is small misunderstanding:)
I will use an example of another site, as my WordPress with graphene theme is under development (I have it only on localhost)
Here you have “qgis” shortend posts listed
http://www.geostrona.pl/category/qgis/
All I would like is to have just list of titles, without any text. Something like this.
http://www.geostrona.pl/wp-content/uploads/cat_list.png
How to achieve this with graphene?
ModI see now. Try what I just recommended literally minutes ago (how’s that for serendipity?) in this post: https://forum.graphene-theme.com/feature-requests/page-with-posts-template-1#post-9962
I think it is exactly what you are looking for.
Thanks Kenneth John Odle!
I do not know how this plugin might help me… I seems that shortcode have to be placed on page or post. List of post after click on tag or category name is created somehow automaticly. There is no place to put an shortcode.
Or I do not understand how to use taht plugin, what is also possible:D
ModA shortcode is just a code between square brackets that you type between square brackets. Take a look at this post: http://blog.kjodle.net/2011/08/25/how-to-create-and-use-custom-menus-in-wordpress/
See the table of contents? That’s generated by a plugin called “Table of Contents Plus”. I just go wherever I want a table of contents in a post or page and type
[toc]
.You can find all the shortcode options for the Hikari Internal Links plugin here:
http://hikari.ws/dev/wordpress/786/internal-links-exemples/
I’m going to try this plugin myself to see how it works.
ModForget everything (except for the bit about shortcodes) I just said.
Try this plugin: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/kalins-post-list/
The instructions are here.
You can see an example here: http://blog.kjodle.net/wordpress-helps-a-complete-listing/
It works! I am going to be using this a lot.
Thanks for your help!
Plugins that you recomend will not work for me at all
Pages like this:
http://blog.kjodle.net/tag/blog/
are created automaticly so there is no place to write any shortcode. After clicking “blog” tag I am not moved to any predefined site.
I use
http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/postlists/
por purposes you mentioned.
Anyway, how you made that your posts in “tag archive” page are so short?
http://blog.kjodle.net/tag/blog/
I can not find that option in graphene theme.
AdminThe easiest way to achieve this would be to just hide everything that you don’t want to be displayed using CSS, and just leave the title. Try inserting something like this into the Custom CSS option:
.archive .entry-content,
.archive .entry-footer {
display: none;
}
