Can't Remove qrcode_wprhe

    Help! I want to remove qrcode_wprhe from appearing in each post on http://www.rectofossal.com but if I uninstall and delete the plugin the posts still show the ‘get your QR code here’ text and just removes the QR image.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance…

    And does this go away if you switch to another theme?

    Haven’t tried that. Would really like to stick with Graphene now I’m used to it; reckon this issue is down to my ignorance rather than the theme…

    I asked because I was trying to determine if this is actually a theme issue. If it disappears when you switch to another theme, it is likely a theme issue. If it doesn’t disappear, then it’s a plugin issue. (It could be altering the database in a way that simply deactivating and deleting the plugin doesn’t undo, for instance.)

    Quite frankly, I’ve never understood why people put QR codes on their website, since the purpose of the qr code is to take you to a webpage that you are already on. Having them in print makes sense, but if someone could enlighten me to their use on the web, I would be grateful.

    Ahh! Now I understand! Thank you.

    Have just done as you suggested and it does disappear if I load another theme. So back to the hunt for where that part of the post template lives…

    You can always try reinstalling Graphene.

    You can always hide it with css:

    .jwl_qr_code {
    display:none;
    }

    Although on first thought, I totally agree with Ken, QR code can be useful if you print articles… Especially considering the fact that half article content is invisible because of that flyout “you may also like” thing 🙂

    Have now retested and the glitch appears on other themes. Curses.

    Luko – you are a star. Looks like that fixed it. Thanks for the help, much appreciated!!
