I am relatively new to this, and after installing a forms plugin for my grapheme theme wordpress website, the page displayed a message that said “HTTP 500 Internal Server Error”. Since then, I cannot log in to admin to edit the website and it has been very frustrating. I checked the rating for the plugin and it was 4 1/2 stars, but I am assuming this caused the server to crash?
I know nothing about how to manage my server or website hosting. If someone could help me figure this out I would really appreciate it! Thank you so much for all you do, this support forum has helped me so much along the way!January 30, 2014 at 3:42 am #41929Kenneth John OdleModerator
FTP to your site and delete the plugin in question.February 13, 2014 at 6:47 pm #41930
Is there any other possible way to resolve this issue without having to go into the server? I do not have any experience with Dreamweaver and working with coded files. I have tried everything I can think of, and I still cannot log in to my Admin page. Is there anything else I can do? This is very distressing! All I need to do is get rid of the plugin…I really appreciate any advice!February 13, 2014 at 7:56 pm #41931Kenneth John OdleModeratorQuote:Is there any other possible way to resolve this issue without having to go into the server?
If you cannot log into your admin page, probably not.Quote:I do not have any experience with Dreamweaver and working with coded files.
FTP has nothing to do with Dreamweaver or “coded” files. All you need to do is log into your server, go to your wordpress installation, open the
wp-contentfolder, and then open the
pluginsfolder. Inside that are a set of folder, each of which contains a plugin. Find the one you installed and click delete.
For the record, what plugin was it that you installed?

I appreciate your help, but I have tried several times to do exactly as you said but to no avail. I even contacted the Company that hosts our website domain but all they would give me was my login and password to FTP. I logged in to the server as you said, clicked on the folder but when I click on anything else it won’t load anything, just comes up with a blank webpage that says it can’t display.
Is there some way someone could log in and do this for me? I must surely be missing something! I need help!!!!!March 8, 2014 at 4:25 pm #41933Prasanna SPMemberQuote:Is there some way someone could log in and do this for me?
We may. But it is rather be done by your hosting provider. You pay for Hosting and Support. So, raise a ticket. If they don’t bother resolving it, you better find a good host. Anyway, you can shoot us an email with FTP credentials.
