In Graphene Options –> Display –> Column Options, select two column (content and sidebar) layout. Then edit your static front page and select One column, no sidebar layout in Page Attributes. If you can’t see Page Attributes, click on Screen Options in the top right corner and check it. You can specify the layout for other pages like this.
Here’s another question, Is there a way to remove the slider nav buttons and replace them with arrows on the left an right side of the slider image? I’ve removed all text and have made the slider images full size.

If all you want to do is display pictures, then it’s probably best to forgo the built-in slider and use a plugin to rotate images. There are several available in the plugin repository. Try “carousel” for a search string.
okay. I thought as much. The slider works great as it is.
