background gradient?
-
I really love this theme for all of it’s customization and ease of use, however I can’t seem to figure out how to make my background color gradient.
When I use firebug it shows the body color css, but it doesn’t exist in the style.css sheet. When I add to custom CSS it doesn’t change the background, and firebug shows it crossed through.
I was going to try a child theme, but when activating it I lost a bunch of my old modifications and didn’t feel like re-editing everything.
There has to be a way to change the background color, image, and make it gradient somewhere in the stylesheet that am I missing. Please help.
Thanks!
Hi jfontana,
Download and install this plugin:

I use it… and love it. If it’s not for you, post back and I’ll provide another solution.
ModSure, it’s possible. You can do it with css or with a gradient image (there are generators for both available online).
My question is: which part do you want to do a gradient of? The background? The main content area?
Please include a URL and tell us what coding you’ve tried in the past. This is actually a fairly easy thing to accomplish.

ModOh, that’s how you pulled that off, Josh. I was wondering about that. It’s seriously cool.
Haha.. the wonderful world of the plugin repository.
I just wish they had a better way to search plugins… like for version compatibility or something. Show me a list of all plugins compatible with 3.2.1 🙂
