Only embedded styles are being loaded on your site. Parent and child theme CSS is not loading at all! It is mostly caused by moving wordpress to /blog. It can be simply fixed. No, need to start from scratch again. Edit database using phpMyAdmin and correct site “address” and “URL”. Then update
wp-config.phpfile. Leave me a message if you need help regarding this.phpMyAdmin –> Select database –> (wp)_options table –> siteurl –> Change it to http://www.elliottwaveireland.com/blog and save.
Go to next page and search for “home” table edit, and enter just http://www.elliottwaveireland.com.
Then update wp-config file with calling header from /blog
If you think it is risky, find a friend who can make it for you
Erm., phpMyAdmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL with the use of a Web browser. It is a free and open source software. So most of the hosting providers will give you phpMyAdmin access . Just find it in your hosting control panel and open it. Then follow the above steps. If it is the first time you’re dealing with phpMyAdmin or MySQL, I strongly suggest you take the help of an expert. You may lose your entire data if you mess up with databases.
thanks Parasnna, I had it all fixed up and ready to go live, and just during the week i moved the contents of my bog else where and this is what caused the problem.. i hope i can fix it fast..only problem is that i didn’t have wordpress installed from my hosting provider i uploaded it myself to the server.
I cant seem to see phpMyAdmin anywhere in my control panel, however i have found an option to install wordpress as an application with my hosting provider, should i do this? or would that cause more problems?
Hi Parasnna,
I managed to locate the phpMyAdmin panel, and i have followed the steps, changing the site url to http://www.elliottwaveireland.com/blog and the home to http://www.elliottwaveireland.com
I dont know what i should do in the wp-config file, what do you mean “update wp-config file with calling header from /blog”
thanking you,
Mod
i still can’t figure out the footer image
I can’t see your site right now, but I’ll look at it later when it’s up.
Did you fix the issue with the child theme style sheet?
