Automatic creation of header images

  • Raffi

I noticed that this theme automatically creates a header image (width variable, height 198px), when uploading a new picture to the media library. How could I keep this from happening, using a child theme?

    Best regards,

I have never had this happen.

If you are setting those images as featured images, then go to

Graphene Options >> Display Options >> Header Display Options

and tick the box marked “Disable Featured Image replacing header image”

If that’s not it, it could be a plugin conflict of some sort:

The “Disable Featured Image replacing header image” box is ticked and I disactivated all plugins as well, but no change. When I change the “Header image size” to something else than 198px, I have an extra image file of that new size after uploading. So the extra image IS created to be a header image.

I can’t be a 100% sure, but I would almost say this started happening after I updated to the theme’s 1.8 version.
