Audio player

Does anybody use an audio plugin to play audio (mp3) in posts? I have tried 15 plugins, and I only got 1 to work, but it only worked on firefox 4, so that’s not really an option. Good ideas are welcome!

My preference went out to the simple ‘WordPress Audio player’ http://wpaudioplayer.com/ But when I use this I get an error saying ‘Adobe Flash Player required’ (which I have) Maybe it just doesn’t work in combination with the Graphene theme.

Hi

I dont think its the combination with the Graphene Theme 🙂

Make sure the plugin You choose are WP 3.1.2 compatible.

Have You tried this plugin:

Yes, I did try that one. But when I try to install it I get this error:

Incompatible Archive. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure

I’ve cleaned out my browser cache and my site’s cache, then tried it again. But I keep getting the same error. I’ve installed it through the WordPress installer directly, and by downloading the ZIP and then installing it. Both giving me the same error. I also gave WordPress more permissions on my file server.

Adding an audio player to certain posts seems so simple, but I’ve been working on it all day now.

Rules aside, I just tested WP Audio Player with the theme, and it works just fine.

And also, I’ve just tried visiting your website using Firefox, IE7 – 9, Chrome, and Safari, and your current audio player (Soundcloud?) is working just fine in all the browsers.

Seems like a javascript issue/conflict to me. Are you using any plugin that modifies the way scripts are loaded in your site? Maybe some kind of optimisation or caching or minify plugin. Try deactivating the other plugins one by one to see if it works.
