Archive and meta in sidebar widget are frustrating me!

    Hi All – thanks for looking at this q. I can’t seem to remove from my static home page/post the default widgets of archive and meta. I have other widgets showing on all other posts adn pages and ???

    Those are supposed to automatically disappear once you add widgets to your sidebar.

    Johnny Canuck is right. If you are using the alternate front page widget area, you will need to add some widgets to that area to make them go away, or disable the alternate front page widget area.
