Another Comments issue

    Hi,

    This is a bit of a strange one.

    I have a lady commenter on my site who has complained for a long time that she always has to enter her name and email details every time she leaves a comment on my site.

    She doesn’t have this problem with any other blogsites that she visits.
    And she didn’t have the problem when I had the basic WP theme Twenty-sixteen running for a while.

    She only seems to have the issue when I’m using the Graphene theme, which would make it look like a Graphene issue and yet, no-one else visiting my site has this problem.

    She is running a Mac as opposed to a PC, but I’ve had a friend of mine with a Mac test it out with no problems.

    Would anyone here be able to offer any ideas?

    Does she still has this issue now? There was a bug recently, but we’ve fixed it in the latest version.

    Thanks for the prompt reply.

    Yes, I highlighted a similar issue a couple of weeks ago and you very quickly fixed it in an update that same day.

    However, this is slightly different, affecting just this one commenter to my site.
    I would have said the problem is at her end, but she doesn’t have the issue elsewhere, just on my site and

      only

    when I use the Graphene theme. A bit strange.

    Which browser is she using? Perhaps she’s blocking cookies which is used by WordPress to identify the current commenter?

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    She is using Safari on a Mac.

    If it was a cookie issue, wouldn’t she have had the same problem when I was using the Twenty-sixteen theme?

    You’re right, it would have happened on the Twenty Sixteen theme as well. Don’t know how we can diagnose this further without having access to her machine though.

    I think you are right Syahir.

    I think she will just have to live with it, as I’m not changing it for just one commenter who is having problems.
