Animated Gif News Ticker
-
Hi everyone, I need a bit of help. I am updating a site I inherited and need to update animated gifs at the header and footer of the main posts page. Basically as a novice I dont understand how to update these. Is it through PHP files in my editor?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Moved to Support. Please post in the correct section next time.
Animated GIFs are images, so in order to edit them you’ll have to use a photo editing software that support animated GIFs, like Photoshop. However, animated GIF being what it is, changing a single character is as tedious as changing the whole content.
It’s a bad use of animated GIFs anyway. I would just ditch it and use javascript instead. Take a look at this plugin:
Apologies for posting in the wrong section. Yes the use of gigs seems very tedious to change and JavaScript is the way to progress. I could only identify the use of gifs through finding them in the media gallery. I do not know how to remove them as I cannot find the code in which they exist. Are they hardcoded in the php files?
Thanks again
