Hi all what a great theme just struggling to manipulate a few things to work the way i need it too 🙁

firstly im trying to get a similar look to this site http://www.subbassdj.com/ minus a few elements

    here is my site http://www.beeboxdesign.com

for the most part everything is starting to come into its own however i am struggling with the alignment and positioning i.e if you look at

the secondary menu for the navigation is hidden by the slideshow that I’ve added via a widget area enabled on the header area

the original positioning of the navigation has been changed in the header.php file as i wanted to display it above the header image. is it because ive changed the location and if so is there a way i can better achieve this without the navigation menu being hidden im guessing its down to the alignment?

Do not edit theme files. Your changes will be lost at the next theme update, and such changes can cause unintended consequences.

You can use CSS position:absolute and z-index properties to control the positioning and z-stacking of the navigation menu. But as Ken said, avoid editing the theme’s files directly. You can insert the CSS either into the theme’s Custom CSS option, or by using a child theme.
