Adsense in widget problem

    #sidebar1 {width:280px;}
    in additional css and there is now a big gap to the right of the adverts. But adverts are now properly sized.

    You can resize the sidebar using Customizer > Graphene: Display > Columns Width. Try reducing the sidebar width by 1 col.
