Sidebars not showing on Homepage
-
Hi all,
I’ve just installed this great theme but not being great with computers i’m easily getting stuck.
I have left and right sidebars which i’ve updated with some info and they are showing on all pages which is great BUT they aren’t showing on the homepage?
I’ve gone through all setting but can’t figure it out?
Any help would be great
the website is http://dansdrumlessons.co.uk
Thanks in advance
Dan
🙂
i now have a sidebar on the left and right of the homepage pretty much saying the same thing – archive and meta – which i don’t need. Well perhaps Archive but definately not Meta, every other page of the website is fine with sponsored links i’ve added but i cannot understand how to remove these from the homepage and have the sponsored links there – nothing is showing up under widgets at all apart from links on non home pages – i’m stuck – I think this is a great theme programmed by an absolute genius of a web programmer but being a musician and not very good with computers i’m close to giving up.

Have you looked at the available widgets and widget areas in WP Admin > Appearance > Widgets? If you don’t want to display any widgets at all, you can remove the sidebars completely by selecting the single-column layout in the theme’s options page.
Thanks Syahir,
I have done that and it looks much better so i’ll try and stick with this great theme.
But is there an option, like other WP themes, to have the same sidebar(s) on each page as this theme seems to do this but excludes the homepage – I can probably add images and link them instead if needed but i thought i’d ask.
Regards

If you want the home page to display the same sidebar as with all the other pages, just uncheck the Enable alternate front page sidebar widget area option in Graphene Options > Widget Area Options.
Thanks Syahir.
Huge problem at the moment is that i cannot log in! I installed a plugin called ‘Jigoshop’ and when i tried to configure that it made all normal homepage images much larger for some reason and totally messed up what i’ve already done.
I know the Jigoshop is a new plugin so i think your theme was released before it and may not support it, so i need to either use a different plugin or change theme BUT i can’t do either – if i type my URL followed by /wp-admin.php it takes me to my homepage (instead of the WP login screen) and if i click ‘login’ there it simply refreshes the page!
Any ideas?

That should have been pretty obvious – sorry 🙂
Thanks for your help!
