Gradient on slider doesn't appear in Safari?

    Hi-

I’m building a new site with Graphene and notice that in Safari the pretty blue gradient doesn’t show up on the home page slider which makes the blue border of the slider look like a plain dark blue. Is there anything I can do to make it look the same in Safari as in FF?

    Thanks

First off, your submenu isn’t working properly. Try setting the option in Graphene Settings > Display > Navigation Menu Display Options > Dropdown menu item width to 200.

As for the slider gradient, I just visited your site using Safari 5.1, and the gradient is showing properly.

Thanks…the 200 display thing fixed the menu item issue.

But I still see no gradient in Safari only on the slider. Honest.

Is there a way to send you/post a screenshot?

In Windoze, use the snipping tool. Save it to your desktop (or wherever) and then post it to Twitpic or something similar.

Looks good in Safari 5.1 to me, too. Which version of Safari are you using?

    Safari 5.0.5

Weird, on my laptop (both macs) I’m running Safari 5.1 and it looks fine. So it’s just an older Safari issue I guess? Weirdness.

Yes, older browsers tend not to display things correctly. They’re not being capricious, they’re just doing the best that they can.

True. Jeez that one isn’t very old though.

    Thanks again.

Actually now that I think about it when I tried to update it, it said it didn’t work with my operating system, which is a totally up to date mac os x.
