parent menu link disabled when adding sub menu

    I’m having a problem with adding a sub menu item (drop down menu). I went to appearance > menus and dragged a link under another. The link appears when I hover over the parent, but the link to the parent’s page is disabled. Any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it?
