Hi there,

I try to use a static front-page to show a kind of splash screen (html+links) then to get to the real Home-page of graphene.

I have 2 issues:

1. the slider is not showed (I created a page and set the template to Default)

2. the homepage panels are not displayed

the above things are due to the face that my second page is not the actual “homepage”

Any trick that I can show different index(first page that loads when access the website) but still keep the Graphene features on the homepage?

There are plugins you can use that will display a splash page.

But keep in mind that MANY people find splash pages to be annoying wastes of precious time.

I already checked the splash page plugins – not working.

Thanks for underling the non-happiness about them, I don’t like them either.

The actual point is that I have to show a different page as index (an image with some links inside) but the actual homepage to stay as default in Graphene (slideshow, home panels, etc)

Hy,

It’s possible but it’s a little complicated.

You need to create splash page (with classic page) and make it first (wp options/reading/static page). After that it’s tricky, you can make custom template page and insert elements you want (slider, homepage panes…), then create blank new page in wp and assign custom template, after that address it as homepage in menu.

Thanks Luko, tried that already, but the “homepage” in Graphene it’s a bit tricky due to the all amazing features so I could not figure out.

So I hope some light from the support team will bring some new perspective….
