Add before container placement

Hello i cant find out how to place an add before the container, i have used the action hooks widget but i need to have the add align width the menu ??? Please help

This is generally not possible. Whoever serves the ads (usually Google) sell ads of a certain space, so they make it impossible for you to change the size of the ad, as advertisers would then be getting more or less ad space than they are being charged for. You can, of course, change the size of the container the ad is in, but the size of the ad itself won’t change.

Okay i think, i explained myself in a bad way.

U have the standard black background outside of the container, and i want to place an ad in the Area of my site.

I want to place ads there how do i do that ?

Add them to the Graphene header widget and control their placement using absolute CSS positioning.

Okay.. and where are you wanting this placement? To the side of your main content area?

In my honest opinion… this is a bad place to put an ad. This is because the width of the screen will change depending on the resolution used to view the site.

So, sometimes the ad might be cut-off if the resolution is set to something too small.

It is always best to place ads somewhere inside the content container (or directly above or below it)… but never to it’s sides.
