Basic question alert – How do I create drop down menus?

OK I’m apologising straight-up because I suspect this is an obvious question. However, I’ve been trying to do it for an hour, and I’ve searched this forum but can’t find a simple answer – only more technical questions.

I’d like to change some of my ‘page’ links into drop down menus – for instance ‘Weight Loss Calculators’ would feature a dropdown menu of my various calculators, and I’d like to insert a ‘category’ drop down menu too along the same line.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please – or to another thread that answers this?

Just drag the child menu item to the right below the parent item.
