i upgraded the theme this evening, and the excerpt text on the slider is now grey on the grey overlay.

i had this same problem over a year ago after a previous upgrade, and I overwrote the style ‘.slider_post_entry’ in a child theme to resolve it. that solution isn’t working for me anymore. i’ve also tried to overwrite ‘.bgimage-excerpt .slider_post_entry p’ but that doesn’t do it for me either. I just want to get the excerpt text back to being white. Can you please tell me what style to overwrite?

Try this in your child theme:

.bgimage-excerpt .slider-entry-wrap .slider-content-wrap {

color: #FFFFFF;

}

I just followed the link in your signature and read your post on advice. The answer was in the second paragraph!!

Looks like the J Shortcodes plug-in is the culprit. I’ve been running this plug-in ever since my site went live a couple of years ago and this is the first time I’ve had a conflict.
