Getting rid of the curved things in the date of posts?

    I’m having a fiddle around. I want the date to be bigger but want it in a plain black box with white text, not any of this curved stuff. Thanks in advance.

    Eugh, typical. I worked it out now. I was changing the CSS of .post .date without the sprite_master image, but i wasn’t defining it as anything else, so obviously it was just pulling it from the parent theme.
